May is truly the crown jewel of the Bedfordshire countryside. At Polehanger Farm, our working arable landscape transforms into a sea of vibrant greens and seasonal wildflowers. Guests have access to 7km of footpaths, allowing you to wander through the fields and hardly see a soul.
Don’t miss our Polehanger River Woodland Walk, perfect for a quiet early morning stroll, where you might spot a Red Kite soaring overhead or hear the first cuckoo of the year as you enjoy the fresh air and stunning countryside views. For families, the woodland trail includes brass rubbing posts to keep little explorers entertained while you soak in the ‘forest bathing’ atmosphere.

For Romantic Escapes: Marigold is our most indulgent retreat, featuring a luxurious free-standing bath inside and a private two person wood-fired hot tub outside. It’s the perfect setup for a “note to your future self” weekend.
For the Ultimate Reset: Eyebright and Aster also feature our signature wood-fired hot tubs. There is nothing quite like the ritual of adding logs to the fire, watching the steam rise, and sinking into the fresh water (which we change daily for every guest!) under the wide Bedfordshire night sky.

You don’t need a long drive to find total peace. We are ideally placed for Londoners, just a 39 to 45-minute direct train journey from London St Pancras to Arlesey. From the station, it’s a 10-minute taxi to the farm, meaning you can leave the office at 5pm and be in your hot tub with a glass of wine before 7pm.
